Dr. Stephen R. Harris

Education

Dr. Steve Harris graduated first in his class and with honors from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1983.

He serves on and has chaired several committees for the Michigan Dental Society and the Detroit District Dental Society. Dr. Steve is a past president of the Western Dental Society.

He prides himself on furthering his education in the dental field through seminars and continuing education courses.

He did his undergrad studies at Michigan State University. A true Sparty, Steve played tenor sax in the marching band, and still bleeds green!

Service

Dr. Harris volunteers with Donald Dental Services, Tri-County Health Council, and "Give Kids a Smile Day" through the Detroit Dental Society.

He also is actively involved in the Church Parish and has served as the Men's Club President. He has also been usher at the church since 1986.

Special Interests

Dr. Steve is an avid golfer; he plays in his church golf league and as often as possible. He finds doing dentistry much easier though than reducing his handicap!

He found a hobby in the construction of golf clubs to be great fun for a naturally born tinkerer. He finds time to be an assistant coach for his kids basketball, softball and baseball teams.

Dr. Steve also enjoys music, making beer and accompanying his wife to Red Wing games; as well as spending quality time with his three children.

Sandy Welch is the kind, caring voice you hear when calling our office. She'll help you with all your insurance, financial, and scheduling questions

Besides loving her job at Dr. Harris' office, her 3 daughters and 1 grand daughter (they are patients); she has 2 parrots, 2 cats, a horse, and a dog that she enjoys taking care of.

She will go out of her way to ensure your visit with us is timely and pleasant.

Sue Kalweit RDH, Dana Smith RDH, and Sonja Tofil RDH are as skilled technically as they are friendly.

They will provide you with the best possible periodontal (gums) care anywhere

Sherry Potts

Dental Assistant

Sherry Potts plays an integral part of your dental care, whether she is expertly taking impressions; x-rays or just offering a warm touch on your shoulder if things get difficult.

Sherry is a gentle and caring person who will make your visits enjoyable.
